List of Romanian Top 100 number ones of the 2000s

The official logo of the Romanian Top 100 in a 2010 edition of the chart.[1]

The Romanian Top 100 was an airplay–based and the national singles chart of Romania until 2012.[2] Found in 1996, it was a ranking based on the compilation of charts submitted by local Romanian radio stations.[3][4] The Romanian Top 100 was published weekly and was also announced during a radio show starting with 1998.[5] Compilance was first handled by Body M Production A-V, followed by Media Forest and Nielsen.[4][6][7]

During the 2000s, over 110 singles reached the number-one position on the chart. Over this period, Australian singer Kylie Minogue was the most successful artist at reaching the top spot, with six number-one singles. American group The Black Eyed Peas' song "Shut Up" spent 10 weeks at number one in 2004, marking the longest spell at the top of the charts. The first registered number one of the decade, "Hero" by Spanish recording artist Enrique Iglesias, was a holdover from the end of 2001. Moldavian performer Dan Bălan's "Chica Bomb" was the final number one of the decade in 2009.
