The northern chestnut-tailed antbird (Myrmeciza castanea) is a species of bird in the family Thamnophilidae. The Clements taxonomy, Version 2016, however, calls it Zimmer's antbird and has updated the scientific name to Sciaphylax castanea.[2] It is found in the Amazon Rainforest in northeastern Peru and far eastern Ecuador.
Its "Clements" name commemorates American ornithologist John Todd Zimmer.[3]
