Northern California Innocence Project

The Northern California Innocence Project (NCIP) is a legal aid organization based at the Santa Clara University School of Law in Santa Clara, California. They work to revisit convictions of people believed to be innocent of their crimes.[1] At least 11 people's convictions have been overturned due to their work.[2][3] They are part of the national Innocence Project network of similar organizations.[4] NCIP was founded in 2001 by current director Kathleen M. Ridolfi, who also co-founded the Innocence Network in 2004.[5]
