North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy (NEIAH), is an autonomous institute established under the Ministry of AYUSH , Government of India, situated at Mawdiangdiang, Shillong, Meghalaya. The Institute is developed adjacent to the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS). 1st June 2015 Institute started OPD (Ayurvedic & Homoeopathic) at its permanent campus. The Institute starts offering Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery(BAMS) degree from the academic year 2016-17. It was formally inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Ayush Shripad Yesso Naik on 22nd December, 2016.[1] It is the 2nd Ayurvedic Institute in North East India after Government Ayurvedic College, Guwahati.

Location

The Institute is situated adjacent to the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) at Mawdiangdiang, Shillong, Meghalaya.

Academics

The Institute started to offer 4 and a half year degree course Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from the academic year 2016-17. Other courses like Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery and Post graduate courses will be started very soon.[2]
