North Branford High School is a public high school in North Branford, Connecticut. In 2010, North Branford High School had 12 students for every full-time equivalent teacher.[1] It is the only high school in the town of North Branford, which accounts for residents in both North Branford and Northford. The school has around 700 students annually and graduates over 90% of its students.

Administration

The North Branford School District is led by Superintendent Scott Schoonmaker. The principal of North Branford High School (NBHS) is Todd Stoeffler along with Assistant Principal, Carter Welch.

In 2006, the administration was accused of grade tampering in order to boost graduation rates. Following an investigation, the state's Attorney General office concluded that no widespread tampering took place.[2]

In November 2010, the school was audited and reviewed by the state and passed by implementing a school-wide rubric that must be followed by all departments. All public schools in the state of CT are audited once every 10 years to renew their accreditation.

Athletics

North Branford High School has a wide variety of sports offered to students: swimming, football, baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball, basketball, fencing, track, cross country, ice hockey, field hockey, girls lacrosse, and soccer.
