Norris W. Cochran is the former acting head of the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services.

On November 29, 2016, it was announced that Tom Price would be nominated for United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) by President Donald Trump.[1]

Cochran first worked for the federal government in 1996 when he joined the Centers for Disease Control. Between 2001 and 2006 he worked for the Health Division of the Office of Management and Budget. On February 5, 2006 he joined the Department of Health and Human Services.[2]
