Noapara is a town with a police station in Barrackpore I CD Block in Barrackpore subdivision of Kolkata city in the Indian state of West Bengal.
Geography
Noapara is located at 22°49′20″N 88°22′11″E / 22.8222320°N 88.3695924°E.
Demographics
As per 2011 Census of India Noapara had a total population of 10,819, of which 5,524 (51%) were males and 5,295 (49%) were females. Population below 6 years was 1,013. The total number of literates in Noapara was 8,251 (84.14% of the population over 6 years).[1]
Noapara has a population of 5,692.[2]
Healthcare
North 24 Parganas district has been identified as one of the areas where ground water is affected by arsenic contamination.[3]
Transportation
It is a neighbourhood of the city of Kolkata and recently got a Kolkata Metro station named as the Noapara metro station and it is also the largest among all the Metro Railways Station operated by the Kolkata Metro Railways opened up on 10 July 2013 with limited facilities.[4] 34C and M34 bus services are also available at Noapara.
