Niancocha (possibly from Quechua nina fire qucha lake,[2]) is a lake in Peru located in the Ancash Region, Bolognesi Province, Huallanca District.[3] Niancocha is situated northeast of the Huayhuash mountain range, south of the lake Condorcocha (possibly from Quechua Kunturqucha) and northwest of the mountain Chonta (possibly from Quechua Chunta).
