Nina & Malika, also known as The Elektrovertz[1] are an Indian DJ/producer duo consisting of Nina Shah and Malika Haydon.[2] The duo have performed at the Sunburn Festival, the VH1 Supersonic Festival,[3] and opened for Coldplay at the Global Citizen Festival in 2016.[4]
On July 29, 2016, the duo released their first single with Indian DJ Zaeden titled Never Let You Go.[5]
Career
Starting out as childhood friends, Nina Shah and Malika Haydon attended a production course at DJ Brian Fernandes' Studio 58, after which they formed their DJ duo under the moniker 'The Elektrovertz' in 2009 and began performing tech house and techno music in 2010.[6] Malika Haydon is the sister of actress Lisa Haydon and had previously starred in Agent Vinod along side Saif Ali Khan.[7]
The duo graced the cover of Rolling Stone India in June, 2015.[8] In 2016, the duo signed with Spinnin' Records and released their first single with Zaeden in July of that year.[9][10] The track features vocals by Cimo Frankel, and the subsequent music video was shot across Europe.[11]
