Nikki Keddie

Nikki R. Keddie (née Anita Ragozin,1930) is an American scholar of Eastern, Iranian, and women's history. She is Professor Emerita of History at University of California, Los Angeles.[1]

Biography

Keddie was born in Brooklyn, New York. She received her B.A. at Harvard University, her M.A. from Stanford University and her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. She has taught at University of Arizona and Scripps College in Claremont, California, before joining University of California, where she taught mainly Middle Eastern and Iranian history and eventually became full professor.[1]
