Niall Buggy

Niall Buggy (born October 3, 1948) is an Irish actor who has worked extensively on the stage and screen in Ireland, the UK and the US. Some of his more well known roles include the lead in Brian Friel's Uncle Vanya, for which he won an Irish Times Theatre Award and an Olivier Award for Dead Funny. He won the Clarence Derwent award the Obie Time out and Drama desk for Aristocrats and the best performance uk theatre awards for Juno and the Paycock.

Theatre

In 2010, he starred alongside Brenda Blethyn in Edna O'Brien's play Haunted.[1] The 6 date spring tour concluded with a run on the West End.[2] Recent theatre inc +Druid Murphy tour Ireland England USA The Hanging Gardens by Frank McGuinness Abbey Theatre,Translations by Brian Friel,Crucible Theatre, English Touring Theatre,Rose Theatre Kingston,The Importance of being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, with Sian Phillips Harold Pinter theatre west end.Other recent work includes Room 303, Gentrification,Penelope,My friend duplicity, and voices in Ballyturk,and Misterman all by Enda Walsh.You never can tell,Abbey Theatre,St Joan ,Donmar Warehouse.
