Network media

Network media refers exclusively to the communication channels used to interconnect device (nodes) on a computer network or data communications network. This term should not be confused with terms like networked media or digital media.

Typical examples of network media include copper coaxial cable, copper twisted pair cables and fibre optic cables used in "wired" networks, and radio frequency waves used in wireless data communications networks.
