Nehalaxmi Iyer is an Indian television soap opera actress.

She started her acting career at the age of six in Banegi Apni Baat on Zee TV. She was seen in the role of Najma in Zee TV's Qubool Hai.[1] She played the role of Surbhi in Sasural Simar Ka on Colors.

She played Saumya, a main character in Star Plus's 2016 drama Ishqbaaaz, and its sequel Dil Boley Oberoi opposite Leenesh Mattoo.[2] Nehalaxmi was forced to leave Ishqbaaz because the directors want to introduce a new track for Leenesh's character, Rudra. They promised to get her back, which didn't happen as planned. Her character in Dil Boley Oberoi ended too, because of the same reason.

Though she left but still the fans of Rumya and Saumya loves her and they heavily protested about the new replacement of Saumya, Bhavya (Mansi Srivastava). The chances of her coming is less, yet Rumyarians don't stop to spread their love.
