Navid Niktash (born June 17, 1991) is an Iranian-French professional basketball player for the London Lions of the British Basketball League (BBL). He plays as the small forward or the power forward.[1]

Professional career

Angers Etoile d’Or St-Leonard (2014-2016)

In 2014, Niktash started his professional career in France with Étoile d'Or Saint Léonard Angers in the LNB Pro B. He played two years for the team, helping it become a champion of Group B of LNB Pro B in 2015.[2]

Norrköping Dolphins (2016)

Niktash played 2 games for the Norrköping Dolphins in 2016 before he signed with the London Lions. He averaged 1.5 points and two rebounds in those two games.[3]

London Lions (2016-present)

After two games for the Swedish team, he signed with the London Lions who compete in the British Basketball League – the top level men's basketball league in the United Kingdom. He played 29 games (27 games as a starter) for the team and averaged 14.59 points, 6.21 rebounds, 1.37 assists and 45% FG.[4] He was also named three weeks to the All-Star 5 ( 27th, 28th and 30th).[5]

Iranian national team

He was invited to the Iran national basketball team to Iran's camp in China in 2017.[6]

On August 09,2017 Niktash played his the first official match for Iran against India; He recorded 3 points and 6 rebounds and .25 FG% in 12 minutes [7].

Navid Niktash has an Iranian father and French mother [6].
