The Indian National League (INL) is a secular-based political party in India, mainly active in the states of Kerala.The party was formed on 23 April 1994, when Ebrahim Sulaiman Sait resigned from the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).

Politics

The party supported Congress(I) in the 1998 Kerala state electioms because they were satisfied with the apology tendered by the Congress leaders for failing to protect the Babri Masjid demolition.[1]In the 1996 Tamil Nadu state assembly elections, the INL was part of an alliance led by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and won five seats. The INL general secretary, M. Abdul Lathief, was elected as the Waqf board chairman in the state.
