Narkatiya (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (Hindi: नरकटिया विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is an assembly constituency in Purvi Champaran district in the Indian state of Bihar.
Overview
As per orders of Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, 12. Narkatiya (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Banjaria, Chhauradano (Narkatia) and Bankatwa community development blocks.[1]
Narkatiya (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of 2. Paschim Champaran (Lok Sabha constituency).[1]
Election results
In the November 2010 state assembly elections, Shyam Bihari Prasad of JD(U) won the newly created 12 Narkatiya assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Yasmin Sabir Ali of LJP.[2]
