The Nanxiong Formation is a Mesozoic geologic formation in Guangdong Province. Dinosaur remains are among the fossils that have been recovered from the formation. It consists of red sandstone and clay sediments, with fauna which is more similar to that of the Nemegt Formation in the recent years.
