Namik Paul is an Indian Television actor and former model.[1] He is well known for playing the role of Shravan Malhotra in the Indian daily soap Ek Duje Ke Vaaste[2][3] and he has been awarded for the Best Jodi Critics at Lions Gold Awards.[4][5] He subsequently appeared in Befikre Belgium Ke[6][7] The Trip[8] and now in Aye Zindagi.

Early life and background

Namik hails from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. His father is a retired IAS Officer and his mother is a lawyer and human rights activist. He has one elder sister who is working as a High Court Lawyer in Chandigarh. Paul did his schooling in Dehradun and completed in Woodstock School, Mussoorie (boarding school). For his higher education, he went to Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, United States and took economics and mathematics as his major subjects.[9]

Career

Namik Paul started his career as a Journalist with NDTV 24x7 and later he started modeling too.[10] He first appeared onscreen as Ahsaan in the 4th season of Qubool Hai on Zee TV in 2015.[11] He made a debut in a leading role as Shravan Malhotra in Ek Duje Ke Vaaste aired on Sony TV in 2016.[12][13][14] Paul did a travel show Befikre Belgium Ke of Saas Bahu aur Betiyaan segment on Aaj Tak.[15][16] Few Bollywood moments were also recreated in some locations. Paul was also seen in a web series, The Trip on Bindass TV.[17] He is now seen hosting a TV Show Aye Zindagi on Zing TV. Paul will soon be seen in a romantic thriller, Ek Deewana Tha, on Sony TV.
