Nagita Slavina (born 17 February 1988) is an Indonesian actress, television host, film producer, and singer. She is the wife of actor Raffi Ahmad.

Career

Nagita Slavina nicknamed Gigi, started her career as an advertising model facial cleanser Biore Anti-Acne in 2000. Gigi penetrated into the world of acting by starring Inem Si Pelayan Slabor, her first soap opera. Acting as the eldest of three siblings was apparently attracting the attention of other directors. The daughter of Gideon Tengker (guitarist of the band's legacy homage to blues, Drakhma) and Rieta Amilia (actress who switched professions to become a producer) is also offered to appear in the soap opera, Di Sini Ada Setan. This soap opera finally made it to the big screen version of the title Di Sini Ada Setan (The Movie).

Another soap opera starred Gigi is including Cinta 100 Hari, Cewek Tulalit, Rats and Cats Looking for Love, and Ramalan Alisha. Mostly, her character is a childish innocent girl who seemed spoiled. But the character is precisely what drove this woman 157 cm tall entrance nominated best female lead in a feature film in FFI 2005 off the television, with a movie off the television Rats and Cats Looking for Love. She's also plunge into the world of singing.

Gigi pursued her education in SMA Al Azhar Syifa Budi Kemang then proceed to the Economics Faculty of the University of Indonesia (UI). She studied there only two years because she chose to continue her study at the Australian National University Department of Commerce, faculty of School of Accounting and Business Information System, since 2009.

Aside from acting, Gigi was prepared by her mother to become a co-executive producer at her mother's production house, PT Frame Ritz which produces soap operas both long and short stories. The production house is already spawned several top artists such as Tyas Mirasih, Bunga Zainal, Kiki Farel and others.

Nagita Slavina has long been working behind the scenes, in contrast to her husband Raffi Ahmad which until now has often appeared on the screen. Her meeting with her husband also initiated by one of the soap opera they starred in together.

She became a host to few television program and is in reality show with her husband.

Personal life

On October 17, 2014, Nagita Slavina married Raffi Ahmad.[1] He is none other than the famous artist and friend of her childhood. Their wedding was held in three major cities, namely Jakarta, Bali and Bandung. Starting from the Jawa tradition, ceremony, reception in Jakarta, Private Party in Bali and ngunduh mantu in Bandung broadcast by several TV stations at the time, including Trans TV. Their marriage had become the most luxurious celebrity wedding in 2014.

Long before they decide to get married, they got involved in projects together. They both starred in the television movie titled "Rats and Cats Looking for Love" Frame Ritz Production when they were teens. Unique about the beginning of life together Raffi Gigi, they turned out to have the same birth date in February 17, although only a different year. Raffi was born February 17, 1987, while Gigi was born February 17, 1988, so the age of the two differed by just one year. The reason it was also a major factor why their marriage was also held on the 17th as well.[2]

On August 15, 2015, Nagita Slavina gave birth to a baby boy named Rafathar Malik Ahmad.[3] The given name has special meaning for the couple commonly called RANS by their fans. "Rafathar" from the Arabic word meaning first child is elevated in rank. Then the name "Malik" was the name of his grandfather, the ruling king. While "Ahmad" is the surname of the father's side.[3]
