Nadezhda Viktorovna Sergeeva (Russian: Надежда Викторовна Сергеева; born June 13, 1987 in Kemerovo) is a Russian bobsledder.[1]

Career

Sergeeva competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for Russia. She teamed with Nadezhda Paleeva as the Russia-2 sled in the two-woman event, finishing 16th.[2][3]

As of April 2014, her best showing at the World Championships is 9th, in the 2013 team competition.[1]

Sergeeva made her World Cup debut in February 2011. As of April 2014, her best World Cup finish is 10th, at Cesena in 2010-11.[1]

In March 2016 it was reported that Sergeeva had failed a drug test, testing positive for meldonium.[4] However, as the test showed less than 1 µg meldonium and the fact that it took place before 1 March 2016 meant that Sergeevna was justified.[5]

Sergeeva and Kocherzhova won the first ever medals for Russia in the women's event at the 2017 FIBT European Championships, which took place with the World Cup tournament in Winterberg at the same time.[6]
