NGC 7038 Is a large intermediate spiral galaxy located about 227 million light-years away in the constellation of Indus.[2][3] It has an estimated diameter of 262,885 light-years.[3] NGC 7038 was discovered by astronomer John Herschel on September 30, 1834.[4]
SN 2010dx
On June 8, 2010 a type ll supernova designated as SN 2010dx was discovered in NGC 7038.[5]
