Mythicist Milwaukee is a nonprofit Atheist secular organization founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by Sean Fracek and Antonio (Fritz) Blandon In January 2013, When they came across the Peter Joseph's film Zeitgeist:The Movie which linked today’s Western religions with ancient Sun and Nature worshipers. Fracek and Blandon wanted to learn more about these links and engaged in their own research. Early on they made contact with the late scholar D.M. Murdock, also known as Acharya S, who inspired them to do their own independent research into the Christ myth theory.[1][2]

Mythinformation Conference

The Mythinformation Conference is a day long conference organized by Mythicist Milwaukee. It showcases the many different formats there are to engage in the secular community. It involves deep Academic discussion into Science, Philosophy and History, Religious Debates, Comedic Acts, feature Films and documentaries. The first Mythinformation Conference was held on April 25, 2015. Brian Edwards, James Kirk Wall, and Hemant Mehta presented talks on secular subjects. The event was headlined by leading Mythicist author Dr. Richard Carrier, whose peer-reviewed work on the New Testament sheds serious doubt on Jesus’ existence.

The Mythinformation Conference II was held on September 27, 2015. Mandisa Thomas, Arthur George, David Fitzgerald and the Wu-Tang Clan’s Killah Priest spoke at the event. This was Killah Priest’s first ever lecture and an atheist/secular conference. Following the success of the first two Mythinformation Conferences Mario Quadracci teamed up the Mythicist Milwaukee to fund the first ever Atheist debate series entitled Buzzed Belief Debate Series held in Milwaukee, WI.

The Mythinformation Conference III was held on October 21, 2016. This conference featured Allie Jackson CEO of Atheist Republic, Thomas Smith podcast host of Atheistically Speaking, Rob Moore, and Dan Barker Co-President of the Freedom From Religion Foundation. This event was closed out with the Buzzed Belief debate between Dr. Robert Price and Dr. Bart D. Ehrman that focused on whether or not Historical Jesus existed.[3][4]

Ehrman-Price debate

Dr. Robert M. Price is a former Baptist minister who holds PhDs in systematic theology and the New Testament, Dr. Price is a professor of biblical criticism at the Center for Inquiry Institute. He asserted that there are flaws with the evidence for a historical Jesus. Bart D. Ehrman is the James A. Gray Distinguished Professor of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he has taught since 1988. Professor Ehrman supported the stance that there is compelling evidence for the existence for a historical Jesus.[5][6]

This debate gained considerable public attention.[7]

Batman & Jesus

Batman & Jesus (2017) is the third feature-length film and first feature-length documentary film from King's Tower Productions and writer/director Jozef K. Richards, made in association with Pink Lady Media and Mythicist Milwaukee. Batman & Jesus seeks to introduce the evidence both for and against a historical Jesus to a wider audience using contemporary examples in pop culture to draw comparisons, It will include research, interviews, and vetting from some of the field's top scholars, authors, historians, and public secular voices including Robert Price, Richard Carrier, David Fitzgerald, Aron Ra, Faisal Saeed Al Mutar, Allie Jackson, and musician Killah Priest.

The first teaser trailer for Batman & Jesus debuted on June 4, 2016 during Reason Rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., The premiere has been set for Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Milwaukee's Pabst Theater.[8]
