My First Story (stylized as MY FIRST STORY) is a Japanese rock band formed in 2011. Their single "Fukyagaku Replace" (不可逆リプレイス Fukagyaku Ripureisu) is used as the ending theme for the anime Nobunaga Concerto.[1]
History
2011–2012: Formation and earlier days
In August 2011, Sho, Nob, and Masack, Fromus's instrument team formed then invited Hiro and Teru.[2] In October 2011, they appeared in a music event sponsored by Sanei Shobo Co., Ltd. which publishes street fashion magazine Book (Ohlie), and for the first time performed in public. In November 2011, they appeared in a music event sponsored by the street fashion brand Subciety (Sub-society). MY FIRST STORY, a mysterious band that unknown at all became a topic on Twitter in no time.
On April 4, 2012, 8 months after the formation, they released the first full-album with their own band name MY FIRST STORY. This work was the first release from the record label INTACT RECORDS (established by Core Trust which operates Subciety).[3] The music video of the lead song "Second Limit" from their first album was directed by Maxilla, a video production team known for coldrain, Crossfaith, and SiM.[4] On August 19, 2012, they appeared at SUMMER SONIC 2012.
2012–2016: Japan Tour and new formation
On February 6, 2013, the second album THE STORY IS MY LIFE released. They appeared in some music festival such as PUNKSPRING, ROCK IN JAPAN FEST, SUMMER SONIC, and many more.
On October 29, 2014, the band's third album NEUROSE was released.
On January 8, 2016, they opened an Official member's club "STORYTELLER".[5]
On March 3, 2016, the drummer Masack announced withdrawal.[6] Kid'z (ex.Shohei) of the band LOTH who broke up last year, joined as a new drummer. After Sho's suspension of activity and Masack's withdrawal, the first live as a newly created MY FIRST STORY, "HIGHEST LIFE PARTY VOL.5" was held at Shibuya O-EAST on March 10, 2016. They announced that they will conduct 47 prefecture one-man tour "We're Just Waiting 4 You Tour 2016" from June and release full album this summer.
On May 4, 2016, they appeared on JAPAN JAM BEACH 2016.
On June 29, 2016, their fourth album ANTITHESE was released. On November 18, 2016, they held an one-man show at Nippon Budokan and accompanied by the release of the single "We're Just Waiting 4 You" at the venue only.
