Mwangi wa Iria

Mwangi wa Iria is a Kenyan politician who hails from Murang'a County. He is the Governor of Murang'a county.From the multiple projects initiated by the governor, the people of Murang'a County have benefited from the devolved governance. With reference to roads improvement to health sector, the governor has worked relentlessly to the benefit of Wanjiku, the Mwananchi.The efforts made by the Governor to curb the impacts of illicit brews in Murang'a have bone fruits with results being evidenced by the working of the young men. "Hapa kazi tu", the slogan for the governor goes(translated from the native kikuyu language) [1] He won the 2013 Kenyan gubernatorial elections under The National Alliance ticket. He is considered a front runner to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta amongst the Kikuyu ethnic community.
