Murakami is a Russian rock band, formed in November 2004, in the city of Kazan.[2][3] The frontwoman is Dilyara Vagapova.[4]

Biography

Group Murakami was formed in the autumn of 2004, when the band The Sun-Screen invited the then party to the television project Narodniy Artist-2 on RTR Dilara Vagapova to try his hand in a rock band, knowing her passion for this style of music. Thus, in November 2004, he formed and proceeds to an active group rehearsals, though as yet untitled. In December, after much controversy and heated debate in the group name appears. So there were Murakami.

In February 2005, the group gives a recital. The concert was attended by 700 people. For the history of the Kazan rock music is an unprecedented case. Yet no one group after three months of existence, the new lineup does not threaten an event of this magnitude.

In parallel with the concert activity Murakami started recording their first album The Seagull, which was released in August 2006. In October 2006, the presentation of the album, as the group presented its first video for the song I'm flying to unlearn.[5]

In the summer of 2010, the group participates in the TV show New Wave. The group wrote the soundtrack to Sergei Bezrukov Realnaya skazka, which was released in 2011.[6]

In 2013, the band went into a large Tour 2013 (Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Anapa, Krasnodar, Samara, Sterlitamak, Ufa, Kurgan, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Omsk, Karaganda, Almaty, Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Kemerovo , Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok, Kaluga, Moscow, Smolensk, Minsk, Tver, St. Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, etc.) [7]

In November 2014, singer Karina Kildeyeva, a sister of Vagapova, left the group, citing fatigue.[13]
