Munmun Dutta is an Indian film and television actress and model. She plays Babita Iyer in the long-running Hindi sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.[1]
Early life and education
As on Feb 2017 Dutta is aged 28 years.[2] Dutta was born in Durgapur, West Bengal into a family of singers. She took formal training in classical music. After completing her higher secondary education she took admission in a college in Pune, Maharashtra.[3] She has completed Masters in English.[4]
While living in Pune, Dutta participated in fashion shows. She came to Mumbai and had her acting debut in Zee TV's 2004 serial Hum Sab Baraati. Her first film role was in Kamal Haasan's Mumbai Express. In 2006, she appeared in the film Holiday. She briefly dated actor Armaan Kohli and got seperated due to his agressive nature.[5]
On June 2017 Dutta confessed that she was an animal lover and adopted a kitten who was lost in the film shooting area.[6]
