Muhtasham Kashani
Muhtasham Kashani (1500-1588) (محتشم کاشانی) is an Iranian poet who lived in the time of Safavid time and had an influence on Persian and Day of Ashura poetry.[1] He was born in Kashan and died there. He is well-known because of his poem about Imam al-Husayn's martyrdom[2] which is known as Tarkib band.[3]
His main job, like his father, was cloth industry (in Kashan) before he chose poetry as the main field.[4]
