Ch. Muhammad Iqbal Gujjar (born 6 July 1943 in British India) is a national politician and parliamentarian of the Pakistan Muslim League (N). He has held various ministerial offices since 1985.

Political career

Gujjar began his political career in Lahore as a student activist. After he completed his degree from Government college, he contested union council elections and served as chairman of Gujranwala.

He was elected as a Member of the Provisional Assembly of Pakistan (MPA) and has been elected to the Punjab Assembly of Pakistan on seven consecutive occasions: 1985-88, 1988–90, 1990–93, 1993–96 and 1997–99 and 2002-2007 and 2013 – present. His victory in the 2013 general elections was by the second-largest margin.

He served as a Provisional Minister from 1985 until 2007 and is now Chairman of the Standing Committee of Privilege.
