Mr. and Mrs. Used to Be is the first collaborative studio album by American country music artists Ernest Tubb & Loretta Lynn. It was released on August 9, 1965, by Decca Records.[2]
The album peaked at No. 13 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. The lead single, "Mr. and Mrs. Used to Be", was the biggest hit the duo would achieve, peaking at No. 11 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. The second single from the album, "Our Hearts Are Holding Hands" peaked at No. 24.
Recording
Recording for the album took place over four sessions at Columbia Recording Studio, Nashville, TN, beginning on March 10, 1964. Additional sessions followed on January 12, January 18, and January 19, 1965.[3]
