Movses Abelian
Movses Abelian is an Armenian diplomat and United Nations official. He is currently Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, responsible for General Assembly management (since 2016). He has formerly been Director of the Security Council Affairs Division and Secretary of the United Nations Security Council from 2011 to 2016. He served as Armenia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York from 1998 to 2003 and as President of the UNICEF Executive Board at the international level in 2001.[1][2][3]
