List of National Football League quarterback wins leaders

In the National Football League (NFL), the quarterback is the only position that is credited with records of wins and losses. At the time of the 1970 NFL–AFL merger, Johnny Unitas held the record for most wins as a starting quarterback with 105, 103 regular season and two playoff wins. He retired after the 1973 season with 124 wins including six playoff wins. This was later surpassed by Fran Tarkenton with 130 wins (six playoff) in 1978. John Elway moved ahead of Tarkenton during the 1996 season, and retired after the 1998 season with 162 (14 playoff) wins. During the 2007 regular season, Brett Favre surpassed Elway to become the starting quarterback with the most wins in NFL history,[1] and his record stood at 199 including 13 playoff victories. Peyton Manning, with his 2015 season Super Bowl win, retired with 200 wins. Otto Graham holds the record for the highest winning percentage overall (min 35 wins) with .788. Tom Brady now holds the record for the most wins and the most wins with a single team. After the 2016 season, Brady had 208 wins, 183 regular season and a record 25 post season victories.

Quarterbacks with most total wins in NFL history

This sortable table shows the top 100 NFL quarterbacks in order of total wins, both regular season and playoffs, since the start of the modern era, 1950. The table also shows every team that a quarterback played for. If two quarterbacks have the same number of wins, the player with the highest winning percentage is ranked first.
