Monty J. Pearce (born September 29, 1948) was born in Sacramento, CA. He was a Republican member of the Idaho Senate from 2002 to 2014 representing the 9th District. He previously served has Idaho House of Representatives for District 9 Seat B from 1999-2002.

Early Life & Career

He has been married to Merry Pearce and they have seven children.

Pearce attended Ricks College and received his AA. He also attended Brigham Young University and received his BA.

He has been a successful rancher, raising purebred Black and Red Angus cattle and Quarter Horses on his ranch near New Plymouth.[1][2]

Elections

Pearce was in the Idaho Senate from 2002 to 2014 representing the 9th District till he lost to Abby Lee (politician) in the Republican Primary.[3]

Pearce was a Representative of the Idaho State House of Representatives from 1999-2002.

Pearce endorsed Ron Paul in the Republican Party presidential primaries, 2012.[4]
