Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology

The Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology is located in Nedumangad, Kerala, India.[1] The college, which is affiliated to the University of Kerala, was established in 2002.[2][3] Mohandas College is a project of the Mohandas Group of Companies and is managed by the VN Gangadhara Panikker Memorial Trust. The college has received ISO 9001:2008 certification.[4] The college is also known by the short form MCET. The present principal of MCET is Dr.S. Sheela.

Programs

Courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.[4] Mohandas College offers the Bachelor of Technology degree program in disciplines that include Mechanical, Biotechnology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Computer and Engineering,Information Technology and Civil Engineering with better faculties...[5][6] The college has offered the Master of Computer Applications degree since 2005.[7]

Club activities

The college provides facilities for co-curricular and extra curricular activities through clubs viz painting, drawing, drama, debate, music, dance, quiz, paper presentation and software clubs. An intercollegiate festival named "ILLUMINATI" is conducted over two days by the students. The official college band is Bindass, which performed at the week-long Decennial Celebration Program.

Software Club

The Software Club provides a chance to involve in software activities.

National Service Scheme

The NSS unit of the college (Tech cell Unit:159) engages in social service activities in and around the college, providing equipment like black boards, benches and desks for primary and secondary schools in the neighborhoods. The unit organizes festival celebrations for school children. Blood donation camps, medical awareness camps, distribution of clothes, books etc. to needy children and people are also arranged by the student unit of NSS.

Photography Club

The Photography club organizes events like pot painting, clay modelling, intra-club projects, workshops on painting, sketching, photography techniques, and designing software.
