Mohammad Ali Ghouchani

Mohammad Ali Ghouchani (1771 in Ghouchan - 3rd of march 1877 in Tabriz), also known as Mirza Sanglakh, was a Persian author, poet, mystic and calligrapher in the era of Fath Ali Shah, Mohammad Shah and Naser al-Din Shah. He was from Ghouchan, a city in Khorasan. He was master of Nastaliq script. He has written several books about calligraphy and also a book about calligrapher's biographies. He is mostly famous for these books. He published a collection of his calligraphy works in a book named Darj-e Javaher.[1]

Mirza Sanglakh died on the Friday 3rd of march 1877 at the age of 106 in Tabriz and was buried in this city.
