Dr Mohamed Ayub or Dr Ayub Hindi: डॉ. मोहम्मद अयूब is an Indian politician and president of Peace Party of India.
Early life and career
Dr. Mohammad Ayub was born in Badhalganj, Teh.-Gola, Gorakhpur at 1955 to Aashiq Ali. He studied to become a Master of Surgery in 1985 from Banaras Hindu University Varanasi(M.S), F.A.I.S. & F.I.C.S. and he was a successful businessman in the medical field.[1]
Dr Ayub graduated in medicine from Banaras Hindu University in 1980. Like many others in his age group, he appeared in the competitive exams and made it to the IAS allied services and was posted in the customs department. He could not tolerate the rigors of the babudom for long and left the bureaucratic service in just six months and went back to his university where he passed his MS in general surgery in 1985. He established his hospital in the same year.
Located in a small town, Dr Ayub has set world records. He has performed the maximum number of mini cholecystectomy operations in the world by a single surgical team. Moreover, he has performed a mini cholecystectomy operation in just six minutes – another world record. He is slated to make it to the Guinness Book of World Records soon. Guinness researchers have already come twice to his hospital and checked the records themselves. Dr Ayub is a living example that, armed with dedication and sincerity, you can achieve excellence just about anywhere in the world.
Political career
Dr Ayub fought his maiden election from Khalilabad (Sant Kabir Nagar) assembly seat of Basti division in Uttar Pradesh state assembly election in 2012. After the good performance of party's Lok Sabha 2009 candidate from Sant Kabir Nagar, Dr Ayub won the Khalilabad assembly seat in 2012 by 5392 votes over his rival Mashoor Alam (Bahujan Samaj Party).[2]
Assassination bid on Dr Ayub
Dr. M Ayub, while returning from Delhi after the launch of Peace Party Delhi unit on 14 June was attacked by a Scorpio vehicle at 11 pm near Faizabad (Uttar Pradesh), which chased him for several kilometers. The vehicle was hitting repeatedly from behind and from one side of the vehicle on the Saryu River Bridge trying to push the vehicle into the river from a height of almost 50 feet.
Sexual exploitation case
On 25 February 2017, Ayub was booked for allegedly sexually exploiting a young woman who later died from liver and kidney damage.[3] According to the woman's brother, Ayub had brought the girl to Lucknow from Khalilabad on the pretext of providing her better education and promising to make her a doctor.[4]
