Mołtajny [mɔu̯ˈtai̯nɨ] (German Molthainen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Barciany, within Kętrzyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north of Barciany, 23 km (14 mi) north of Kętrzyn, and 79 km (49 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
The village has a population of 760.
