''Mistaken'' (film)
Mistaken is a movie completed in 2013, starring Anthony Roberts, Jamie Lee Nash, Mat Hall and Daniel Poli. It follows Leo Campbell, a young man who finds himself wrongly targeted by an Italian mafia. He confides in Detective Tom Shaw (played by Jamie Lee Nash) to help him find answers as to why a bounty is on his life.
The film was completed on practically zero budget as a passion project written directed and produced by Anthony Roberts. Having written the script, he could not afford to pay a cast of actors, so instead got friends and work colleagues to play characters in the movie. It took nearly three years of "part-time" filming. Roberts said that the greatest challenges were continuity and getting reasonable performances out of non-actors.
Despite its production shortcomings, the film achieved a limited cinematic release in the UK in 2013, followed by a digital release a few years later.
