Minerbio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bologna in the northern-central Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 15 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Bologna. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,249 and an area of 43.0 square kilometres (16.6 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Minerbio contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) : Ca' De' Fabbri, Capo d'Argine, San Martino in Soverzano (or - dei Manzoli), San Giovanni in Triario, Spettoleria and Tintoria.
Minerbio borders the following municipalities : Baricella, Bentivoglio, Budrio, Granarolo dell'Emilia and Malalbergo.
