Career

2007–10: Early career

MellowHype released a reissue of their second mixtape BlackenedWhite as their debut studio album on July 12, 2011, by Fat Possum Records. The reissue's track listing altered from the original mixtape's with some tracks added and some removed. Odd Future released a compilation album 12 Odd Future Songs on October 3. It contained older and lesser-known Odd Future songs as well as newly-recorded music, such as "67" by MellowHype. In 2011, Left Brain formed MellowHigh with Hodgy Beats and other Odd Future cohort Domo Genesis.

On March 20, 2012, Odd Future released their debut studio album The OF Tape Vol. 2, by their recently founded record label Odd Future Records. MellowHype started MellowHypeWeek and released a new song everyday from September 11 to September 17 to hold fans over for their second studio album Numbers. Numbers was released on October 9, through Odd Future Records.

On October 31, 2013, Left Brain, Hodgy Beats and Domo Genesis released MellowHigh's self-titled debut studio through Odd Future Records.
