MinNature is a permanent model railway exhibition situated in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.[1] The exhibition, spanning 17,000 sq ft,[2] is the first of its kind to be opened in Malaysia.
The exhibition typically showcases the culture and lifestyle of the people of Malaysia,[3][4] however, it also display many exhibits that represents the other parts of the world. Majority of the buildings and structures are designed and fabricated in-house using 3D design and 3D printing technology.[5][4][6] In January 2017, there are over 2,500 feet of railway tracks running along the 7,744 sq ft of modeling area.
The exhibition intends to launch its second phase by the 2nd half of 2017; which will include a train depot, an airport and the Petronas Twin Tower[7]
History
The 3D design and 3D print works started in June 2014 and it took over 2 years to completely fabricate all of the models for the first phase. The in situ construction and assembly started mid March 2016 and completed in November 2016.[7]
