Michael Paul Stephenson (born February 28, 1978) is an American film director, producer, writer, and actor. He is known to horror film fans as the child actor in Troll 2, and later directed a documentary about the film, Best Worst Movie. His second documentary, The American Scream, premiered on NBCUniversal's Chiller network and was named a Must Watch by Entertainment Weekly. His latest film and narrative directorial debut, Girlfriend’s Day, is a Netflix Original Movie. Premiering on Valentines Day 2017, the comedy stars Bob Odenkirk, Amber Tamblyn, Natasha Lyonne and Stacy Keach.
Career
He is perhaps best known for his lead role in the 1990 horror film Troll 2 as Joshua Waits.[1] He also produced and directed the award-winning and critically acclaimed Best Worst Movie, a feature-length documentary about Troll 2 which debuted March 14, 2009.[2] His second feature documentary, The American Scream, premiered on NBCUniversal's Chiller network on October 28, 2012.
