New York State Assembly

In 2016, Assemblywoman Jane Corwin announced that she would not seek re-election after four terms.[5] A reliably Republican district, its three counties, Erie, Niagara and Orleans chose Norris to replace her through their county Republican organizations.[6] He was unopposed for the Republican nomination, as well as for the general election.[7]

Norris was sworn into office on January 1, 2017.[8]
