Big Mike Geier is an Atlanta, Georgia based singer, entertainer and leader of the band Kingsized.[1][2]
Puddles Pity Party is known for appearing in several viral videos on YouTube since 2013, most notably with Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox.[3] Most of the songs he performs are covers of recent hits. Puddles Pity Party is noted for his distinctive whiteface clown costume, baritone singing voice, depressed persona, not speaking on stage or in interviews, and his unusual height of 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m).[4][5]
Puddles Pity Party performed in Aqua Teen Hunger Force's 2010 tour.[6] In 2011 he regularly appeared in vaudevillian cabaret at Teatro ZinZanni. In 2013, he opened for Eels during their U.S. and European tour. In October 2013, he recorded a cover of Lorde's "Royals" with Postmodern Jukebox on YouTube. As of July 2017 the video has received over 20 million hits.[7] Puddles has collaborated with Bradlee on YouTube several times since. Since 2014 he has toured the world, with concerts in the United States, United Kingdom, Belgium and Australia.[8]
His September 27, 2014 live performance of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", at the Regency Lodge Ballroom in San Francisco, was filmed by director Gary Yost and was later described by HuffPost as "A Strange Kind Of Beautiful".[9] By July 2017 the video on YouTube had received over 3 million views.[10]
Puddles performed on season 12 of America's Got Talent, making it past the audition with 4 "yes" votes. He also made it past the Judge Cuts and is scheduled to perform on the live shows.
