Michael Carowsky
Michael Carowsky, born 1707 in Danzig, died 1745 in Göteborg, was a Swedish church painter. From 1744 married with the artist Maria Carowsky, and father to Christina Elisabeth Carowsky.
Carowsky moved from Danzig to Göteborg, where he became master at the Göteborgs Målareämbete in 1742. His master works there consisted of paintings at the Stora rådhussalen in Göteborg. Among other works are the figural paintings at the Borgviks kyrka and, together with his father-in-law Johan Ross, he made church roof paintings at Örgryte Old Church.
