Methaneilie Solo (born July 27, 1955), better known by his stage name Methaneilie Jütakhrie, is a Naga singer who became successful in Nagaland as a musician.
Early years
Methaneilie Solo was born on July 27, 1955, to Zajükhrie Solo and Khrienuo Solo of Tsütuonuomia Thinuo (T-Khel) at Kohima village in Nagaland. Solo had a disturbed youth. He became hunchbacked at the age of four and could study only up to 4th class, but his parents and friends, encouraged him to sing.
Career
His first song was composed in 1973 and had his first album recorded in 1984. His 12th volume of cassette released in 1993 includes, besides his own Angami dialect, translations from other tribal languages and Hindi.[1]
Personal life
He is married to Dziesetuonuo and together they have four children (Two daughters and two sons).
