Mesostygarctus is a genus of tardigrades, in the family Stygarctus. It was named described by Jeanne Renaud-Mornant in 1979.
Its etymology is Greek meaning the inner Stygarctus species.

According to Degma, Bertolani et Guidetti (2013)[1], this genus includes two species:
- Mesostygarctus intermedius Renaud-Mornant, 1979
- Mesostygarctus spiralis Hansen, Kristensen & Jørgensen, 2012
