Merlin Bingham Swire (born 1974) is a British businessman. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Swire Group.
Early life
Merlin Bingham Swire was born circa 1974.[1] His father, Sir Adrian Swire, is a billionaire heir and former Chairman of the Swire Group. His mother is Lady Judith Compton. He has a brother who also works at Swire Group, Samuel Compton Swire.[1]
He graduated from University College, Oxford in 1993, where he studied Classics.[2]
Career
Swire started his career at the family business, the Swire Group, in 1997.[1][3] He worked for them in Hong Kong, Australia, China and London.[1][3]
He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Swire Group.[4] He also serves on the Board of Directors of Cathay Pacific, and HAECO.[3][5] Additionally, he has served on the Board of Directors of Swire Properties since January 2009.[3]
