Melody Prochet (born 3 April 1987) is a French musician. She is the lead singer and songwriter of the band Melody's Echo Chamber. Under this alias Prochet has released one LP, Melody's Echo Chamber, which was produced by her partner at the time, Kevin Parker. The album received general acclaim from critics.[2] "Shirim", Prochet's first single from her upcoming second album, was released in 2014. She was a member of the Dream-Pop band My Bee's Garden and released one studio album Hunt The Sleeper (2010).

Life and career

Melody Prochet was raised in Puyricard.[3] She had a musical upbringing, learning to play the piano and the viola at a young age, the latter Prochet says influenced her "orchestral" approach to songwriting.[4] Melody's musical style has been described as dream-pop, space rock, psychedelic rock and shoe-gaze. Music critics have compared her work with the likes of Stereolab, Broadcast and the Cocteau Twins.[5]
