Mekata Don Pisha (目方でドンピシャ) is a redemption arcade game released in 1998 by Namco in Japan only. It is the first in the Don Pisha series of redemption arcade games. A sequel title, Glass Don Pisha!!, was released in 2002.
Gameplay
The player, after inserting a coin, must view the "dot matrix" display on the cabinet which displays a set number of pounds (lbs). The dot matrix will quickly rotate through all of the set pound numbers and the player must quickly press the large "stop" button on the cabinet. A large excavator claw will the drop down and scoop up items placed in a large bowl inside the cabinet. The larger the pounds, the more items the claw will be able to pick up. When the game is over, the player has the option of placing in additional credits to try earning a larger prize.[1]
Sequel
A sequel game, titled Glass Don Pisha!!, was released in 2002 in Japan only. The name is taken from the large glass window placed on the cabinet. The gameplay is very different from that of it's predecessor; the player will need to slide a plastic cup down a ramp and must make it land onto a target. If the player makes the cup land on the target, then he/she will be awarded with a sort of prize; but if the player fails to make the cup land on the target, the game will be over.[2]
