Medchal−Malkajgiri is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. Medchal is the headquarter of the district.[2] It was a part of Ranga Reddy district before the re-organisation of districts in the state on 11 October 2016.[3]
Geography
The district is spread over an area of 1,084 square kilometres (419 sq mi).[2]
Demographics
As of 2011 census of India, the district is the second most populous district in the state with a population of 24,40,073.[2]
Administrative divisions
The district will have two revenue divisions of Keesara and Malkajgiri. They are sub-divided into 14 mandals.[3] M.V.Reddy is the present collector of the district.[4]
